5. Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (PPERA)
As a registered political party, we are required by law to:
- Record the name and address of donors who give more than £500 in aggregate in a calendar year
- Report to the Electoral Commission details of donors who give more than £11,180 in a calendar year. The Electoral Commission will publish the donor's name and the amount donated
- Verify that donors giving more than £500 are on the UK electoral register (excluding the Channel Islands and Isle of Man)
- Maintain records of all reportable donations for a period required by the Act
This data is processed under our legal obligation and is not subject to erasure requests where retention is required by law.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Payment processors: Stripe, for processing donations securely
- Electoral Commission: where required by PPERA for reportable donations
